Originaria di Ravenna, Valentina Casadei scrive e dirige il cortometraggio Giusto il Tempo per una Sigaretta (2020), nominato per la migliore sceneggiatura all’Odense Film Festival, prodotto da First Child Productions con il sostegno dell’Emilia Romagna Film Commission e distribuito da Tiny. Attualmente sta sviluppando il suo primo lungometraggio,L’Enfant Seul, avviato all’Atelier Scénario della Fémis 2021, sotto la supervisione di Jacques Akchoti, e il suo prossimo cortometraggio, Ronde Nocturne, in corso di produzione da Dublin Films con il sostegno della città di Parigi. Ha pubblicato tre raccolte di poesie.

Originally from Italy, Valentina Casadei writes and directs the short film End of September (nominated for Best Screenplay at the Odense Film Festival) in 2020, produced by First Child Productions with the production support of the Emilia Romagna Film Commission and distributed by Tiny. She is currently developing her first feature film,L’Enfant Seul, initiated at the Atelier Scénario de la Fémis 2021, under the supervision of Jacques Akchoti, and her next short film, Ronde Nocturne, in production with Dublin Films and with the support of the City of Paris. She has published three collections of poems.

SINOSSI (ITA):
Christian cerca in tutti i modi di fare andare a scuola suo fratello minore, Giulio. Cosa facile per i più, ma non per loro, che non conoscono il padre e la cui madre è alcolizzata. In più, Christian lavora come muratore e il suo lavoro comincia alla stessa ora in cui il fratello deve entrare a scuola.
SYNOPSIS (ENG):
Christian tries in every way to bring his younger brother Giulio to school. An easy thing for most, but not for them, who don’t know their father and whose mother is an alcoholic. In addition to this, Christian is a bricklayer and has to start work at the same time his brother has to start school.
